I am in the Nashville market weekly, and see so many artist and writers that have lost their positions or pub deals because of this [music theft]. In the last year somewhere between two and three hundred folks have told me their incomes have fallen drastically or completely.

What We Will Do With This Petition
This petition will be sent to entities like the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") and other governmental entities and agencies, Congress, Internet Service Providers ("ISPs") and anyone else we believe may act on our collective behalf to stop the theft of intellectual property. See our full position on what needs to happen to stop music theft here.
Privacy Issues
We collect certain personal information through this petition like your residence city, state, ZIP, and country and the email address you provide us. We may from time to time in various lists like the one on the right of this page disclose your name, state, and country on this site, but never your email, city or postal code. Also, the geographic information we do collect will be used to aid in targeting advocacy towards certain regional ISPs and we do expect and intend to aggregate petitioner information by geographic tags (city, state, zip, country) for statistical purposes. We collect email information in order to confirm identities and to thus ensure authenticity of all petitioners to recipients of this petition. We will not sell, trade, give away or otherwise disseminate the email address you give us. We will from time to time send emails to you relating to the purpose of this site.

The Petition
We the undersigned, support the effort to require ISPs to block access to web sites that facilitate intellectual property piracy. We also support the effort to require ISPs to interdict illegal file sharing of intellectual property effected via email or any other such internet transfer protocols.
